However, the forecast of dry weather for the next 10 days with temperatures in the 80's this week may extend our late abnormally warm end of summer to continue into fall which officially starts next Monday 9\/22. Extended summer weather continuing into fall   Water Management Strategy Managing irrigation during extended summer conditions We have cut back irrigation and are seeing some dry spots. The dry spots will soon disappear with fall rain thus we are trying to save water and money following an extended dry summer. Forecasts change and keeping up with the irrigation need is ever changing.   Smart Irrigation Technology This is why we have promoted and installed the Weathermatic SmartLink on most properties we maintain. Most have the SmartLink Controller allowing remote access to provide our team the make seasonal changes and troubleshoot problems without having to physically access the controller. We can do this at our office on our computers as well as in the field with our tablets and phones. Our customers receive improved service and more efficient cost-effective irrigation system management. UPGRADE TO WEATHER BASED CONTROL TO SAVE WATER AND MONEY Whereas most of our customers have at least SmartLink with remote access, many have upgraded to SmartLink Weather-Based Control . Weather-Based Control adjusts the program daily based on weather data from an onsite weather station. This has proved to save 20-30% versus manually programmed controllers. See examples below. With the rising cost of water, this provides immediate great savings with a small subscription. Sites without Weather-Based Control will receive this as a renewal proposal.
