Electric Equipment Conversion Initiative

This year Pacscape is converting one crew at every one of our branch locations to be an all-electric hand-held equipment crew. In addition, at our Mukilteo Branch we are converting one crew to all electric equipment for both mowers and hand-held equipment. The goal of this initiative is to explore and understand all the implications of this type of conversion.

Issues Such As:

Equipment performance in various operational environments and conditions
Equipment ergonomics and impact on our field personnel (Batteries can be heavy)
Battery life and performance

Electric set-up requirements at our facilities to facilitate nightly battery charging
Equipment storage, in-field charging and in-field back-up battery storage requirements

The goal of the project is to better understand the financial and operational implications of a broader conversion company wide as state and municipal compliance requirements evolve. We are committed to staying ahead of changes in regulatory requirements and to forge strong relationships now with manufacturers and distributors so we are prepared.
